ENJOYING THE “SEA”NIC VIEW WHILE DINING IN PACIFICO TIKI, AL BANDAR MARINA

Once in a while, I go out with my colleagues and we explore restaurants in Abu Dhabi for eating bonding.

Yesterday, we tried Pacifico Tiki , Dining & Lounge in Al Raha beach.  Tiki culture is a 20th century theme used in Polynesian-style restaurants and clubs originally in the United States and then, to a lesser degree, around the world. Although inspired in part by Tiki carvings and mythology, the connection is loose and stylistic, being an American form and not a Polynesian fine art form.

We ordered the best-selling items in their menu and we asked the recommendation of the staff assisting us. Here’s what we ordered:
STARTER                          :            Original Tiki Platter (for 2)                                        AED 195/-
SALAD                               :            Chicken Caesar Salad                                                 AED 65/-
MAIN COURSE              :             Honey and Sesame seeds Salmon                       AED 120/-
PIZZA                                :             Seafood Pacifico                                                          AED 85/-
PAELLA                            :              Paella Pescador (for 2)                                              AED 180/-
SWEETS                           :             Brownie                                                                           AED 35/-
                                                            Classic Crème Brulee                                                 AED 35/-
DRINKS                             :             Hawaiian Beach                                                           AED 35/-
Stella Artois (50% off until 7:00pm, happy hour)
Mojito (50% off until 7:00pm, happy hour)

I especially love the Honey and sesame seeds Salmon because of the sweet and juicy texture of the salmon, even if it is grilled, it remains juicy and it didn’t lose its flavor. It is glazed with soya and honey served with rosemary carrots and creamy mushroom parmesan risotto. It is so yummy.

Another menu I would recommend is the Paella Pescador, which is like the popular Paella dish in the Philippines enjoyed during festivals. Paella Pescador is a slow cooked arroz bomba rice stew with vegetables and seafood with saffron seasoning. I liked it because it is close to Philippine version of Paella, although it is a little bit expensive.

I also like their Seafood Pacifico pizza. It’s a tasty and delicious pizza with homemade garlic tomato sauce, mussels’ meat, squid, prawns, baby octopus, mozzarella topped with fresh baby spinach leaves. It is unlike the usual pizza we eat outside; it is not oily and it is loaded with seafood toppings.

However, I noticed that the servings were small and good for 1 person only (except for the platter) but since we were not a big eater, it was just enough for a group of six. I apologized if I wasn’t able to take a photo of the food we ate, as the lighting is poor in the location we’ve seated.

We spend about 2 hours in the place as it is getting crowded. We enjoyed the time we spent there.

Check out this place especially during winter season.

I praise God for another food trip outside home. God bless us more J
