This trip was unplanned. When I say unplanned, we just talked about it
over but didn’t pay much attention about it and what exact place we will go.
We don’t know how to get there, but there was an App that my sister is
using called “WAZE” which was quite accurate and very helpful. She uses it most
of the time when she travels in uncertain places. This is the first time that
she will drive for longer time and in an unknown road. And praise God for His guidance and help of
this App we were able to come to the place we were looking for.
We spent more or less 3 hours on the road before we hit the place. We
had a place in our minds where we want to spend the day, but when we came there,
we were shocked at how much we have to spend, although I didn’t assumed it to
be cheap, but I never expected it to be expensive for a day’s adventure.
In the end, we looked for another place and thank God, we found a place
that we only need to pay the cottage which cost Php2,000 versus the Php7,800
(Entrance fee, Cottage fee and corkage fee) the other place is charging. I am
not being cheap here or what, but economically speaking, we could do a lot of
that amount and it feels unfair. The place is just beside the Pamarta Bali
Beach Resort, I don’t remember the name since the name is a little blurred.
In fairness, the cottage was big and clean. It has a separate room, with
a double deck bamboo complete with mattress and pillows. It has electricity and
electric fan, so we felt really comfortable. In addition, the staffs are
accommodating and friendly.
After putting all our stuff in the cottage, we got ready for lunch as we
were famished. We relished the delicious foods prepared and cooked at home. It
was a happy environment as we exchanged stories.
After eating our lunch, we prepared for the beach. We enjoyed the nice weather;
it wasn’t too hot or cold. The waves were strong and the children & I
enjoyed it since in Pampanga, we don’t have any beaches but ample of swimming
pools with artificial waves which is more expensive.
My sisters, nephews and nieces would like to ride the banana boat but it
was quite expensive 2,000 pesos (10 persons for 30 minutes). An uncle offered
us a tour instead, with snorkeling and a visit to the “Pawikan” (Sea turtle)
Conservation Center, he gave a price of 1,200 for 10 people. We were more than
10 but since most are children so they allowed it.
After 30 minutes of boat ride, we were able to snorkel; we’ve seen some
corals and small fishes. The corals were not colorful in that area as what I
have seen in the movies, but it was fun looking at them because this was my
first time doing it. We spent 20 minutes there then we headed to the Pawikan
Conservation Center.
There is an entrance fee of 20 pesos per person. Although we saw only 2
pawikans, and a bit disappointed but we still paid the 20 pesos as a help for
conserving the pawikans. We also bought some souvenirs being sold there to help
also the volunteers.
All in all, we spent almost 2 hours on the tour because the waves were
too strong.
Entrance fee : Free
Cottage fee : Php2,000
Tour package: Php1,200
It was such a nice feeling being with the whole family and enjoying the
beauty of God’s creation. I pray that we will have more trips like this
together.
God bless us more J
