IT’S A BABY GIRL!

When I’m in my 19th weeks of pregnancy, my baby bump is obvious to the people around me. People were asking me the gender of my baby after hearing that I am pregnant. Some of them were surprise because they don’t know that I am pregnant, they say that it is not noticeable since it was only small (maybe they thought that it is only belly fats J) and I am always at my seat. My OB tried to look at it during my 16th weeks of check-up but it is not clear yet but she is guessing that it is a girl.

Now I am on my way to 21st weeks and I am excited to know if my OB was right. But I was a bit disappointed as I have to go back to the hospital after 4 days due to the tight schedule for the anomaly scan/ultrasound. I have to patiently wait for the day to arrive.

The day finally came and the sonographer was late (I don’t know the reason) so I have to wait (again L) but it was a good timing as my sister just came around by the time the doctor arrived. The ultrasound was thorough, checking all the details of the baby’s development, her brain, liver, lungs, heartbeat, size, etc… The doctor was not really a talkative person and we have to ask him questions for him to speak. Then he finally announced that I am having a baby girl. All the while we are wondering what the gender is until he just said it out of the blue while checking other parts of the baby’s body. He didn’t show it to us; I guess he was just shy because he is a male? Anyway, he went on and tried to capture a 4D image of the baby but it was still small so he cannot get a nice image. The ultrasound last for approximately 30 minutes I guess.

My doctor was not available at the time of my ultrasound so I just gave her a call after a day to check my results. And thank God, my baby is normal and healthy. Yey!

I pray that everything will go on smoothly until she comes out. I am excited to see her. I thank God for this wonderful experience.

God bless us more J
